回转缓冲阀 (2) 和 (4) 旨在尽可能减少回转移动末端动臂的移动。
当回转控制阀将油引导至油道 (6) 时，动臂向右回转。 当回转控制阀从向右回转位置移向空档位置时，油被阻断在油道 (6) 和 (7) 中。 动臂和斗杆继续移动，会导致压力积聚在油道 (5) 中。 此压力导致动臂向左回转。 然后，压力积聚在油道 (3) 中，导致动臂向右回转。 此移动将持续到油道 (3) 和 (5) 中的压力达到稳定。 回转缓冲阀释放导致此不必要移动的压力。 回转缓冲阀 (2) 将释放油道 (5) 中积聚的压力，压力被引导至油道 (3) 。 当压力导入油道 (3) 且油缸对油道 (5) 中的压力作出反应时，此导入压力将作用在油缸上。 回转缓冲阀 (4) 将释放油道 (3) 中的压力，压力被引导至油道 (5) 。
当回转控制阀将油引导至油道 (7) 时，动臂向左回转。 当动臂向任意方向回转时，回转缓冲阀的操作相同。
回转缓冲阀总成安装在阀安装支架上。
