Front Wheel, Bearing and Duo-Cone Seal - Remove
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the service brakes.
- Drain the oil from the wheel assembly into a suitable container for storage or disposal.
- Remove bolts (1). Remove cover (2) .

- Remove O-ring seal (3) from cover (2) .

- Disconnect bracket (4) and position out of the way.

- Disconnect hose assembly (5) .

- Attach a suitable lifting device to support wheel assembly (6). The weight of wheel assembly (6) is approximately 1719 kg (3790 lb).

- Remove wire lock (7). Remove bolts (8). Remove retainer (9) and shims (10) .

- Remove seal plate (11) .
- Remove O-ring seal (12) from seal plate (11) .

- Remove bearing cone (13).

- Remove Duo-Cone seal (14) .

- Remove bolts (16). Use a suitable lifting device to remove brake disc (17). The weight of brake disc (17) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).
