New Hydraulic Accumulator Assembly Procedure Increases Service Life {5077}
Usage:
All Caterpillar Machines with Caterpillar-built Accumulators
A process change to lubricate piston seal assemblies in all Caterpillar-built Accumulators has gone into effect. The Seal Assemblies (Item A) on Pistons (Item B) are now lubricated with hydraulic oil at the time of initial accumulator assembly. During rebuild of the accumulator, the dealer is responsible for lubricating the seal with hydraulic oil. This will ensure that the seal is properly lubricated and adds reliability and service life to the seal assembly.
