"COMMUNICATOR" menu |
The "COMMUNICATOR" page provides access to menu items that allows the user to perform the following actions:
- Modify FTP server settings
- Schedule automatic file download with options
- Configure settings for automatic download of files
- Configure settings for manual download of files
- Generate reports and push reports to an FTP server
The following menu items are available from the "COMMUNICATOR" menu:
- "FTP Settings"
- "Automatic Schedule Settings"
- "Automatic File Download"
- "Manual File Download"
- "File Download Status"
Note: If a user is not logged in, only the "File Download Status" menu item is available.

The "Automatic Schedule Settings" is provided in order to schedule download times. The download times may be scheduled hourly, daily, or weekly. Up to four daily downloads may be scheduled.
Note: Ensure to schedule the download times according to the local time of the ECM and not according to the PC time. The "ECM Local Time" is provided in the "Automatic Schedule Settings" page.

Note: The "Automatic Schedule Settings" must be configured before the "Automatic File Download" options are enabled.
The "Automatic File Download" page is provided to configure when each of the selected files will be downloaded. Each file may be downloaded either on an hourly schedule, a daily schedule, or a weekly schedule. The schedule settings are configured in the "Automatic Schedule Settings" page. Also, some files may be selected to "Reset" after the files are downloaded.
Note: When the "Reset" option is selected, the contents of the files are cleared once the download is complete.

The "Manual File Download" page is provided to download manually selected files. Also, certain files may be selected to reset after download. The files are downloaded to the location specified in the "FTP Settings" page.
"File Download Status"

The "File Download Status" page provides the ECM local time and date of the device. Also, the status of automatic and manual downloads may be viewed. This data is provided in real time.
Note: The "Pending Work Order Count" represents the number of pending commands that must be completed, before the schedule is ready to process another automatic file download request.
