New Manifolds And Bellows Assemblies Used In Exhaust Manifold Group {1059}

Description of Change: New manifolds and bellows assemblies are used in the exhaust manifold group. The improved exhaust manifold group incorporates the following features:

Bellows with nine convolutions.

Ductile iron flanges that are free to rotate.

Spring energized O-rings seals instead of gaskets on bellow flanges.

Exhaust manifold sections with angled runners and grooves to accept new bellows and seals.

Exhaust manifold group.

These improvements will help prevent exhaust leakage at the flanges.

Adaptable To: The part number of the improved 9Y4599 Exhaust Manifold Group has not changed. The improved exhaust manifold group is effective with 9KF53. The chart and illustration identify the new components. The new components are adaptable to earlier engines when used together.
