Description of Change: New gaskets are used in the water aftercooler groups. The new gaskets contain a sheet metal core with a rubberized coating. The new gaskets maintain boost and bolt torque better than the former gaskets. The former gaskets had a paper composition. Excessive compression of the gasket allowed the bolts to become loose. When this happened, the gasket could fail and cause a loss of boost in the inlet manifold.
Adaptable To: The new parts are direct replacements for the former parts. This change is adaptable to first production. See the chart for the correct part numbers.
