New Bolt And Spacer Used In Exhaust Manifold Group To Improve Gasket Retention{1059}

Description of Change: A new, longer bolt and spacer are used in the exhaust manifold group. The use of the longer bolt and spacer will improve gasket retention due to the additional bolt stretch. The new bolt and spacer are added to cylinders 1, 2, 5 and 6 only. The bolt and spacer combination at cylinders 3 and 4 does not change.
Adaptable To: The part number of the improved 7C1757 Exhaust Manifold Group has not changed. The new 6V1819 Bolt (1) and 7E9438 Spacer (2) are direct replacements for the former 6V5230 Bolt and 7C2794 Spacer. The new bolt and spacer are effective with 3176 Truck Engine 2YG4361.
NOTE: Bolt torque remains at 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft) for the new bolt.
