Item  Qty  Part  Specification Description
(3)  8T-2223 Bolts  Note: Replace the bolts each time the bolts are removed.
(6)
Use the following special instruction in order to tighten the bolts of injectors and high-pressure line components:
1. Apply clean engine oil to the collar of the tube joint.
2. Loosen bolts (3) and (6). Then slide collar away from both ends of fuel line (2).
3. Remove the fuel line (2) without contacting the ends of the fuel lines with parts on the engine.
4. Install the injector (4).
5. Tighten 8T-0106 Bolt (1) to a torque of 30 to 50 N·m (22 to 38 lb ft) to seat the injector.
6. Loosen 8T-0106 Bolt (1) from the injector (4).
7. Lubricate the Collars with clean engine oil.
8. Before assembly, lubricate both ends of the fuel lines on the sealing surface (2) with clean engine oil.
9. Assemble the fuel lines into the head and rail (5) without contacting the ends of the fuel lines with parts on the engine.
10. Hand tighten the new bolts (3). Then hand tighten the new bolts (6).
11. Tighten 8T-0106 Bolt (1) of the injector to a torque of 10 N·m (89 lb in).
12. Evenly, tighten the bolts (3) to a torque of 20 N·m (15 lb ft). When you tighten the bolts, the rotation of each bolt should not exceed 90 degrees at one time.
13. Evenly, tighten the bolts (6) to a torque of 20 N·m (15 lb ft). When you tighten the bolts, the rotation of each bolt should not exceed 90 degrees at one time.
14. Tighten 8T-0106 Bolt (1) of the injector to a torque of 100 ± 20 N·m (75 lb ft).
15. Again, evenly tighten the bolts (3) and (6) to a torque of 40 ± 5 N·m (30 lb ft). When you tighten the bolts, the rotation of each bolt should not exceed 45 degrees at one time.
16. Again, evenly tighten the bolts (6) to a torque of 40 ± 5 N·m (30 lb ft). When you tighten the bolts, the rotation of each bolt should not exceed 45 degrees at one time.
