A generátor-készlet esetleg fonott négyzetes vezetőkkel vagy több körkeresztmetszetű kábellel rendelkezik a generátor és a megszakító között.
Ellenőrizze a fonott vezetőket, hogy azok nem kopottak-e. Fordítson különös figyelmet a vezetőnek a megszakító házán és a generátor érintkeződobozában található védőkarmantyúira. Haladéktalanul cserélje ki a borítást, ha azon egy érintkezési pont közelében jelentkezett kopás. Haladéktalanul cserélje ki a kábelt, ha annak szigetelése egy érintkezési pont közelében jelentkezett kopás. Ha a generátorkészleten nincsenek gumiborítások, vegye fel a kapcsolatot a Caterpillar márkakereskedőjével.
