Remote controlled machines operate in this area. Personal injury or death could result from entry into the operation area. To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the system.

Perform the following procedure in order to flash the MINEGEM Automation Electronic Control Module (ECM). The Automation ECM is flashed in order to upgrade the software.

1. Move the machine to a hard level surface in the operations area away from personnel and other machines.

2. Perform a visual inspection of the operations area. Prepare the operations area and the machine for troubleshooting. Refer to Troubleshooting, Testing, and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting" in this manual. Refer to Troubleshooting, Testing, and Adjusting, "Machine Automation System Troubleshooting" in this manual.

3. Record the serial number from Automation ECM serial number plate (1) .

4. Insert the battery disconnect switch key and move the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.

5. Move the autonomous control switch to the ON position. Move the remote control switch to the ON position (if equipped).

6. Move the autonomous control enable switch to the ON position. The machine is now in autonomous mode.

   Note: For Automation ECM software installation with the LARN not connected, refer to Machine Automation System (MAS) Troubleshooting, Testing, and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (Automation) - Flash Program (Without LARN Connection)".

7. Connect computer (2) with Automation ECM Uploader installed to the Local Area Radio Network (LARN).

8. Turn computer (2) on. Select:

   1. "start" (6)

   2. "All Programs" (5)

   3. "CAT" (3)

   4. "AECM Uploader" (4)

9. The "file to install" window will appear. Select "Select file to install" (7). The script window will appear.

10. Select the new software file (8). Select "Open" (9). The file extension for the new file will be "*.deb" (10) .

(11) "Install" (12) "++Upgrade Successful !!! – press Quit to exit" (13) "Quit"

11. Once the new software file has been selected, select "Install" (11). At the completion of the install "++Upgrade Successful !!! – press Quit to exit" (12) message will be displayed in the window.

12. Select "Quit" (13) to exit the program.
