  3. Use a combination square in order to ensure that the sensor is square to the frame of the machine.

Note: One hole for the sensor on the mounting bracket is slotted. The slotted hole allows adjustment of the sensor.

  4. Once the sensor is square to the frame of the machine, secure the mainfall sensor.

  5. Ensure that the mainfall sensor is correctly aligned after the bolts are tightened.

Note: Tightening the bolts of the mainfall sensor can cause the mainfall sensor to move out of adjustment.

  3. Make sure that the 276-6146 Position Sensor As (ANGLE) is square to the machine frame. Use a combination square. If the 276-6146 Position Sensor As (ANGLE) (2) is not parallel to the machine frame, then loosen the bolt that is to the rear of the Motor Grader on the bracket for the mainfall sensor. Adjust the sensor until the sensor is square to the machine.

Note: The rear hole of the bracket for the mainfall sensor is slotted for purposes of adjusting.

  4. Tighten the bolt that was loosened in Step 3.
