The position of body down indicator in the body and canopy assemblies and the body mounting group has been moved. The new position of the new body down indicator (2) was moved 810 mm (31.9 inch) toward the cab of the machine. This is away from the access ladders and this is closer to the cab window. The former position of the body down indicator (1) was at the front of the canopy assembly above the handrail assembly. The bottom 190 mm (7.5 inch) (3) of the new body down indicator is now made from a rubber compound. New parts are now used in order to attach the bottom part of the new body down indicator to the new plate.
Adaptable To: The new 8X-6394 Plate As is a direct replacement for the former 196-6009 Plate in the 244-6200 Body and Canopy As. The new plate is the top portion of the new body down indicator.
A new plate is a direct replacement for the former plate in the 278-0638 Body and Canopy As and the 281-2812 Body and Canopy As. The new plates are the top portion of the new body down indicator. The new plate is a nonserviceable item.
The one new 8X-6365 Baffle, the two new 8X-6366 Plates, the four new 9B-7237 Bolts and the four new 5P-1075 Hard Washers are the bottom (3) of the new body down indicator. All of the part are part of the 253-0854 Truck Body Mounting Gp. The 253-0854 Truck Body Mounting Gp is used with the 244-6200 Body and Canopy As, the 281-2812 Body and Canopy As and the 278-0638 Body and Canopy As .
The new parts are adaptable back to the machines APX381-1284 and 5AZ400-405 that use the truck bodies AHP698-1270. The new parts became effective in production with the machine APX1285-UP and 5AZ406-UP that use truck bodies AHP1271-UP.
The new parts are adaptable back to the machines APX381-1326 and 5AZ400-405 that use the truck bodies AHT1-197. The new parts became effective in production with the machine APX1327-UP and 5AZ406-UP that use truck bodies AHT198-UP.
