(1) Adjust hinges so the top surface of the hood and the enclosure are flush. Adjust vertical gaps for the hood to 10 mm (0.4 inch).
(2) Tighten the four seat washers against the seal to the following torque 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft), and then tighten an additional quarter turn.
(3) Apply 157-7228 Adhesive to the seal.
(4) Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the four bolts. Torque for four bolts ... 5.6 ± 0.7 N·m (50 ± 6 lb in)
(5) Adjust bumpers for the hood and the latch so the rear hood has a gap of 5 ± 2 mm (0.2 ± 0.08 inch) between the bumper and the plate.
(6) Adjust the clevis so the gap between the lever and the latch is 2.5 ± 0.5 mm (0.1 ± 0.02 inch) and the lock is in place with the jam nut.
(7) Apply 157-7228 Adhesive to the seal.
