Platform - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the thickness control groups. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Thickness Control - Remove".
- Remove bolts (2) and walkways (1) .

- Cut cable straps (3) and move harness assembly (4) out of the way.
- Remove bolts (6) and lower screed control box (5) out of the way.

- Remove bolts (7) and hand rails (8). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Remove bolts (9) and walkway (10). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Remove cap (12) from both sides of the main walkway. Attach a suitable lifting device and remove main walkway (11). The weight of main walkway (11) is approximately 73 kg (161 lb).

- Remove bolts (13) and platform support (14). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Remove screw (15) in order to separate the main harness assembly from harness assembly (17). Remove screws (16) in order to remove harness assembly (17). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Remove bolts (19) and control box (18). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Cut cable straps (21) in order to move harness assembly (20) out of the way.

- Cut cable straps (23) in order to move hose assembly (22) out of the way.

- Disconnect harness assemblies (24) .

- Disconnect harness assembly (27). Remove bolt (25) and horn (26) .

- Remove bolts (29) and platform support (28). Attach a suitable lifting device and remove platform support (28). The weight of platform support (28) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

Installation Procedure
- Attach a suitable lifting device to platform support (28). The weight of platform support (28) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb). Install platform support (28) and bolts (29). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Install horn (26) and bolt (25). Connect harness assembly (27) .

- Connect harness assemblies (24) .

- Place hose assembly (22) against links and install cable straps (23) .

- Place harness assembly (20) against links and install cable straps (21) .

- Install control box (18) and bolts (19). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Install harness assembly (17) and screws (16). Connect the main harness assembly to harness assembly (17). Install screw (15). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Install platform support (14) and bolts (13). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.

- Attach a suitable lifting device and install main walkway (11). The weight of main walkway (11) is approximately 73 kg (161 lb). Install cap (12) to both sides of the main walkway.

- Install walkway (10) and bolts (9). Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the screed.
