(2) Rod

Outside diameter of the rod (over chrome) ... 139.650 ± 0.038 mm (5.4980 ± 0.0015 inch)

(3) Internal cylinder

Inside diameter of the cylinder ... 190.50 + 0.13 mm − 0.05 mm (7.500 + 0.005 inch − 0.002 inch)

Outside diameter of the cylinder (over chrome) ... 215.850 ± 0.038 mm (8.4980 ± 0.0015 inch)

Outside diameter of the cylinder end (two places) ... 240.00 ± 0.13 mm (9.449 ± 0.005 inch)

(4) External cylinder

Inside diameter of the cylinder ... 241.30 ± 0.10 mm (9.500 ± 0.004 inch)

(5) Internal head

Torque for internal head ... 1000 N·m (738 lb ft)

Inside diameter of the internal head (three places) ... 140.20 ± .05 mm (5.520 ± 0.002 inch)

Note: Before you assemble the internal head (5) to the internal cylinder (3), apply the following two sealants. Apply red Loctite 263 threadlocker to the internal threads on the rod end of the cylinder (3). Apply white Loctite 5140 Flange Sealant to the last three threads on the internal head (5).

(6) External head

Inside diameter of head ... 215.98 ± 0.03 mm (8.503 ± 0.001 inch)

(7) Lubricate the sealing lip with a small amount of the lubricant that is being sealed.

(8) Piston

Outside diameter of piston (two places) ... 190.00 ± 0.03 mm (7.480 ± 0.001 inch)

(9) Tighten the 12 external head bolts with rod (2) fully extended.
