Expansion Tank And Heat Exchanger As A Unit

Usage:

Remove Expansion Tank And Heat Exchanger As A Unit

1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system and the water from the expansion tank.

2. Loosen the clamp on four hoses (1). Slide the hoses off the pipes.

3. Disconnect hoses (2) and (3).

4. Remove two bolts (4).

5. The weight of the expansion tank and heat exchanger is 68 kg (150 lb.). Fasten a hoist to the expansion tank.

6. Remove bolts (6) and expansion tank (5) from the engine.

Install Expansion Tank And Heat Exchanger As A Unit

1. Put expansion tank and heat exchanger (2) in postion on bracket (1), and install the bolts that hold it.

2. Install two bolts (5).

3. Connect hoses (3) and (4).

4. Slide four hoses (6) into position, and tighten the clamps that hold them.

5. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.
