Usage:
1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system below the level of the water temperature regulator.
2. Loosen clamps (2) and slide hose (1) on to pipe (3).
3. Remove four bolts and pipe (3) from the cylinder head. Remove gasket (5) and water temperature regulator (4).

If the water temperature regulator is installed wrong, it will cause the engine to overheat. Make sure the vent hole is open and do not use liquid gasket material on the gasket. The cylinder head can be damaged if the vent hole is not open or if the gasket is installed wrong. |
4. Install water temperature regulator (4) and gasket (5) as shown.
5. Put pipe (3) in position on the cylinder head, with the plug toward the front of the engine. Install the bolts that hold it.
6. Put hose (1) in position, and tighten clamps (2). Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.
