Introduction

This special instruction provides the necessary information in order to install improved cab mounts on Soil Compactor. The new cab mounts improve the operator comfort on the cab mounted machines.

Disassembly

  1. Remove the left side panel in order to access the cab mount.

  1. Remove the nuts, washers, and the bolts that secure the mounts to the frame from both sides of the cab.

  1. Tilt the cab and secure the cab in the tilted position. The rubber mounts are accessible for removal.

ReferenceSee Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Tilt" for the proper tilting procedure.

    (A) 4 mm (0.2 inch) of material between the edge of the hole and the edge of the plate

  1. With the cab in the tilted position, grind the plate that is used to capture the pivot pins. Additional clearance is needed to install the new cab isolation mounts.

Note: Maintain a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 inch) of material from the edge of the pin holes.
