Removal Procedure

Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

2. Loosen clamp (3) and disconnect hose (5) from the turbocharger.

3. Remove nut (4). Disconnect cable assembly (2) and harness assembly (7) from electric starting motor (6) .

4. Disconnect harness assembly (8) from electric starting motor (6) .

5. Remove nuts (1) and electric starting motor (6) from the engine.

1. Install electric starting motor (6) and nuts (1) on the engine.

2. Connect harness assembly (8) to electric starting motor (6) .

3. Connect harness assembly (7), cable assembly (2), and nut (4) to electric starting motor (6) .

4. Connect hose (5) to the turbocharger and tighten clamp (3) .

5. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
