TK711, TK721, TK722 and TK732 Track Feller Bunchers Hydraulic System Caterpillar

The following steps describe the process that is needed in order to calibrate the travel pedal.

Note: Use the information in the reference to prepare the machine for this test. Also, use the information in the reference to relieve any system pressure that may be present in the hydraulic system.

Reference: For the correct procedure to prepare the machine for this test, refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Turn the engine start key to the ON position. Do not start the engine.

2. Press the "ESC" button in order to activate the main menu.

3. Use the "UP/DN" button to scroll to the "PROPERTIES" menu.

4. Press "INPUTS" (F1) .

5. Press "SELECT" (F1).

1. Scroll through the list of properties that can be calibrated with the "UP/DN" button. Press "SELECT" (F1) when "LH Pedal fwd/rev" is displayed in order to calibrate the travel pedal.

2. Use the "UP/DN" button until "MIN" appears in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

3. Depress the travel pedal to the fully reverse position. Hold the pedal in the fully reverse position. Press "SET MIN" (F3) .

4. The voltage for both values should equal -100. Press "OK" (F1) .

5. Use the "UP/DN" button until "MAX " appears in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

6. Depress the travel pedal to the fully forward position. Hold the pedal in the fully forward position. Press "SET MAX" (F3).

7. The voltage for both values should equal 100. Press "OK" (F1) .

8. Press the "ESC" button.

Right Travel Pedal

1. Scroll through the list of properties that can be calibrated with the "UP/DN" button. Press "SELECT" (F1) when "RH Pedal fwd/rev" is displayed in order to calibrate the travel pedal.

7. The voltage for both values should equal -100. Press "OK" (F1)

8. Turn the engine start key to the OFF position.
