New wheel guard plates have been released. The wheel guard plates prevent material from collecting around the front and rear idler wheels. The wheel guard plates can increase the service life of the idler wheels. See Illustration 1.
Adaptable To: The wheel guard plates are effective with S/N:CMM963
and S/N:; CML782
machines. The wheel guard plates are adaptable to all earlier Multi Terrain Loaders.
Note: A 234-0796 Wheel Guard Kit that contains the new wheel guard plates is available. Obtain the 234-0796 Wheel Guard Kit through the parts system.

The 234-0797 Plate (1) and the 234-0798 Plate (2) are welded to the frames of the undercarriage. Welding instructions are provided in Table 2. See Illustration 2.
