Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the rear tires. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR3125, "Tire and Rim (Rear) - Remove and Install".
2. Remove both of the rotor lift cylinders. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Cylinder (Rotor Lift) - Remove and Install".

Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.

1. Remove two hose assemblies (1) on the front door of the mixing chamber.

2. Remove clamp (2) and move two hose assemblies (1) .

3. Remove the bolts and guard (3) .

4. Remove the bolts and separate drive shaft (4) from torque limiting coupling (5) .

5. Disconnect harness assembly (7) from rotor position sensor (6) .

6. Remove two hose assemblies (9) from hydraulic cylinder (9). Move the two hose assemblies out of the way.

7. Remove bolt (11) and move hydraulic cylinder (10) out of the way.

8. Remove four cotter pins (12), four pins (13), and two linkage assemblies (14) .

9. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting sling to the mixing chamber and the rotor axle, as shown.

10. Attach a suitable lifting device, Tooling (B), and suitable lifting chains to both chain cases (17) and install two pins (16). Attach a suitable lifting device to both sides of spreader bar (19), as shown.

11. Raise chain cases (17) and install suitable blocks between the chain cases and mixing chamber (18). The weight of the chain cases and the rotor assembly is approximately 5896 kg (13000 lb).

12. Remove four bolts (20) from each side of the mixing chamber.

13. Raise mixing chamber assembly (21) and the rotor, as shown. The weight of the mixing chamber assembly and the rotor is approximately 7940 kg (17500 lb). Install Tooling (C) under the mixing chamber and lower the mixing chamber assembly. Remove mixing chamber assembly (21) and the rotor from the machine.
