Rework Procedure
1. Drain oil from the rotor transmission.
2. Remove transmission dipstick and stand off tube from the cross adapter, part number 8L7971.
3. Remove cross adapter, pipe nipple, and reducer from the transmission case inlet port.
4. Remove pipe nipple, 90 degree elbow, and strainer filter from the transmission drain port.
5. Remove strainer filter from the hose coming from the rotor axle differential to the scavenger pump.
6. Weld two 7R2850 Plates to the inside of the machine frame as shown on the Illustration. These plates will be used to clamp both 984237 Strainer Filters to the frame bulkhead.
7. Install two 868503 Elbows into the inlet ports of the scavenger pump. These ports are on the bottom side of the pump.
8. Clamp strainer filters to the 7R2850 plates using 101-9558 Clamps, 7X0269 Bolts, and 101-9605 Plates.
9. Install 8C6874 Connectors into both ends of the strainer filters.
10. Install two 109-5081 Hoses with 6V9746 O-rings from the scavenger pump to the strainer filters. See attached Illustrations for the correct routing.
11. Reconnect the existing hose from the rotor axle differential to the strainer filter.
12. Install 004-7270 Nipple, 1L8444 Pipe Tee, 3M7045 Pipe Plug, and 8C6874 Adapter into the rotor transmission drain port. Use pipe thread sealant as necessary.
13. Install 109-5081 Hose and 6V9746 O-ring from the adapter to the strainer filter.
14. Install 145-1041 Nipple, 145-1040 Pipe Tee, 145-6470 Pipe Nipple (for dipstick) and 8F8306 Bushing into the inlet port of the rotor transmission. Use the pipe thread sealant as necessary.
15. Reconnect lube hose to the inlet.
