Usage:
start by:
a) remove flywheel housing
b) remove timing gears and plate
1. Use tooling (A) and remove the rear camshaft bearing first.
2. Remove the remainder of the camshaft bearings with tooling (A).
Install Camshaft Bearings

Install camshaft bearings with the oil hole in the bearing in alignment with the oil hole in the block and the junction of the bearing above a horizontal center line through the bore of the bearing. |
1. Install the camshaft bearings in the cylinder block with tools (A) and (B) as follows:
a) Install the front inside bearing first. Install it to a depth of 1.12 ± .03 in. (28.4 ± 0.8 mm) from the front surface of the block with tooling (A) and (B).
b) Install the center bearing to a depth of 11.32 ± .03 in. (287.5 ± 0.8 mm) from the front surface of the block.
c) Install the rear bearing to a depth of 21.92 ± .03 in. (556.8 ± 0.8 mm) from the front of the block.
d) Install the front bearing last to a depth of .03 ± .03 in. (0.8 ± 0.8 mm) from the surface of the block with tool (B) only.
