NOTE:

This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS43904" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The problem with the affected generator sets label is that the label lists the unit as "Remanufactured" when in effect this is a new unit. In addition some of these labels bear the UL Mark and as such we have obtained special permission under a set of controlled conditions to issue these UL Mark bearing films to be replaced outside of the factory.

Order a new rating label and replace the existing label with the new label when the new label is received.

Ordering a new label:

A new rating label can be obtained by sending an e-mail to CPI@cat.com with the following information:

1. Generator Set Serial Number
2. Engine Serial Number
3. Generator Serial Number
4. Mailing address for new rating label

Installation of a new rating label:
1. Remove the old rating label from its location on the generator set.
2. Clean the surface, ensuring that is clean and free from dust.
3. Remove the backing from the new rating label and apply to the generator set.
4. Remove the backing from the clear film and apply over the new rating label on the generator set.
