Note: Before assembly, lubricate the threads and the bearing surface of the bolts (1) and the bolts (2) with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound .

(1) Use the following procedure in order to tighten the flange nuts:

1. Align the joint in order to get all four flange nuts started on the bolts.

2. Snug bolts for the joint

3. Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern to 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).

4. Again, tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern to 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).

Typical example

Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts for the half flange (2) :

1. Tighten bolts (3) in any sequence to 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).

2. Tighten bolts (4) in any sequence to 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).

Tighten the bolts for the compressor housing to 40 ± 2 N·m (30 ± 1 lb ft).

Tighten the bolts for the turbine housing to 40 ± 2 N·m (30 ± 1 lb ft).
