Some Backhoe Loaders with Front Windows May Crack the Front Window{7301, 7310} Caterpillar

Backhoe Loader:

416E (S/N: SHA116-537)

420E (S/N: HLS210-1018; KMW150-446)

430E (S/N: DDT220-267; EAT230-339)

Some 416E, 420E and 430E machines with front windows may crack the front window due to glass interfering with weldments on the cab.

Remove the front window (1).

Grind the excess weld (2) flush with the plate (3) in order to eliminate interference with the front window. Also, grind any weld splatter (2A). If necessary, repeat the process at location (B).
