The pushbuttons are located on the front of the bottom safety panel, behind the door of the Maintenance Bypass (MBP) cabinet. Refer to Illustration 1.

Bypass Buttons |
Pushbutton 3 (SW3), on the left, marked "Transfer To Maintenance Bypass" transfers the system to maintenance bypass. Refer to Illustration 2.
Pushbutton 4 (SW4) on the right, marked "Transfer From Maintenance Bypass" transfers the load back to the UPS. Refer to Illustration 2.
In each case, the pushbuttons are illuminated green only when the required set of conditions for transfer are met. Then, pressing and holding the appropriate button initiates the transfer. System status is displayed on the user interface panel on the Controls Cabinet. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Front Panel Display".
Bulb Replacement
- Locate the pushbuttons and wire assembly.
Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 7.

- Unlock the lever on the bottom of the wire assembly in order to disconnect the wire assembly from the button assembly.

- Detach the wire assembly from the rear button assembly and expose the bulb by pulling back on the wire assembly.

- Remove the bulb by pressing the bulb in and turning the bulb counter-clockwise.
- Insert new 230VAC bulb in wire assembly by pressing the bulb in and turning the bulb clockwise.

- Attach the wire assembly to the rear button assembly and lock the assembly in place by moving the locking switch to the right.

Pushbutton Removal
- Refer to the information in the Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Maintenance Bypass Cabinet)"in order to de-energize the system and gain access to internal components.
- Open the cabinet door. Locate the two green buttons.
- Remove the top metal safety panel in order to gain access to the rear of the buttons.
- Locate the wire assembly.

- Unlock the lever on the bottom of the wire assembly in order to disconnect the wire assembly from the button assembly.

- Pull back on the wire assembly in order to remove the wire assembly.
- Disconnect all six wires from the wiring assembly with the use of a screwdriver.
- Remove the rear button assembly from the safety panel by loosening the assembly. Pull back on the assembly.
- Squeeze the two small white tabs on the sides of the remaining button assembly. Slide the button out through the front of safety panel.
Pushbutton Installation
- Install the front button assembly into the safety panel by sliding the front button assembly through the front of the panel.
- Seat the rear portion of the button assembly to the front assembly. Tighten the rear portion of the button assembly down in order to hold the button to the door.
- Attach all six wires to the wire assembly.
The location is marked on each wire.

- Attach the wire assembly to the rear button assembly. Lock the assembly in place by moving the locking switch to the right.
