The front doors (1) of the cabinets are hinged on the left side or on the right side. The front doors (1) allow access to the inside controls and components of the cabinet. There are five bolts that hold each door to the metal frame of the cabinet. The bolts can be accessed from the inside of the cabinet.

Removal Procedure

  1. By using a hex key, open the cabinet door (1) by turning the top and bottom door locks counterclockwise until the lock stops.

  2. Open the door (1).

  3. Remove any cables that are attached to the front door (1) in those cabinets with front door controls. Each cable has a label with the location of the cable. Verify the labeling.

  4. Locate the five bolts that attach the door (1) to the metal frame.

  5. Remove the five bolts from the frame of the cabinet by using a 10 mm (3/8 inch) socket. Start at the bottom of the cabinet and move upward. Verify support of the door (1) before the final bolt is removed.

Installation Procedure

  1. Align the hinged area (2) of the new doors (1) to the cabinet.

  2. Locate the five threaded rivets on the outer surface of the vertical portion of the frame of the cabinet.

  3. Open the door (1) to the left or right.

  4. Move the hinge (2) so that the holes (4) in the hinge (2) are aligned with the five threaded rivets.

  5. Lift the door (1) and align the holes (4) in the hinge (2) with the five threaded rivets.

  6. Tighten the 10 mm (3/8 inch) head loosely into the top hole (4) of the hinge (2) and into the top threaded rivet of the frame of the door (1).

  7. Fasten the remaining four screws loosely into the remaining holes (4).

  8. Tighten the five screws finger tight. Adjust the position of the door (1) in order for the door (1) to close properly.

  9. Open the door (1) carefully. Do not lose the position. Tighten the five screws to 4.52 N·m (40 lb in) with a 10 mm (3/8 inch) socket.

  10. Verify that the door (1) closes properly. Verify that the door (1) locks properly. If necessary, readjust the door (1).
