Front Door Status Indicator Panel

The Front Door Status Indicator Panel (1) is located on the left front door of the 4-Wire Transformer cabinet.

The status indicator panel contains a light and a button.

The yellow light labeled "Over Temperature Limit", is illuminated when the 4-Wire Transformer temperature reaches 150 °C (302 °F).

If the transformer reaches 160 °C (320 °F), the UPS will be shut down.

The pushbutton that is labeled "Push to test", tests the function of the 24VDC LED in the "Over Temperature Limit" light.

Both controls are connected to the 4-Wire Thermal Switch Monitor Board located behind the doors on the component panel.

Pushbutton Removal

  1. Open the cabinet door and locate the back of the two controls.

  1. Disconnect the pushbutton wire connector.

  1. Disconnect the wire assembly from the pushbutton by turning the wire assembly counter clock-wise and pulling straight back.

  1. Disconnect the wires from the wiring assembly using a screwdriver.

  1. Remove the plastic retaining nut that holds the button to the front door.

  1. Slide the remaining button assembly straight out through the front of the door.

Pushbutton Installation

  1. Install the front button assembly into the safety panel by sliding the button assembly through the front of the panel.

  1. Attach the button to the front door with the plastic retaining nut.

  1. Attach both wires to the wire assembly. The location of each wire is marked.

    Refer to Illustration 3.

  1. Attach the wire assembly to the rear button assembly by placing the wire assembly straight on the rear button assembly and turning clock-wise to lock in place.

Indicator Light Removal

  1. Open the cabinet door and locate the rear of the indicator light.

  1. Disconnect the indicator wire connector.

  1. Disconnect all wires from the wiring assembly using a cross tip screwdriver or flat head screwdriver.

  1. Unscrew the rear plastic retaining nut that holds the indicator light to the door. The nut unscrews counter-clockwise when viewing the back of the door.

  1. Remove the indicator light by sliding the indicator light straight out through the front the door.

Indicator Light Installation

  1. Install the indicator light into the door by sliding the indicator light through the front of the door.

  1. Install the plastic nut that holds the indicator light to the door. The nut screws on clockwise when viewing the back of the door.

  1. Attach all wires to the indicator light. The location of each wire is marked. Use a cross tip screwdriver or a slotted screwdriver.

    Refer to Illustration 3.

  1. If needed, replace the following components: bulb, clear lens and yellow lens.
