Gear Pump (Steering) - Disassemble

Usage:

CB-434D CNH

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the gear pump (steering) from the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Steering) - Remove".

    Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

  1. Remove plug (14) from body (15) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (15) from plug (14) .

  1. Remove orifice (13), spool (12), orifice (11), and spring (10) from body (9) .

  1. Remove plug (5) and O-ring seal (6) from body (9) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (6) from plug (5) .

  1. Remove nuts (7) and remove body (9) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (1) from body (17) .

  1. Remove rings (2) and O-ring seals (3) from body (17) .

  1. Remove retainer (4) and bearing (16) from body (17) .

  1. Remove shaft seal (25), tab washer (24), and shaft seal (23) from cover (22) .

  1. Remove studs (8) .

  1. Remove cover (22) from body (17) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (21) from body (17) .

  1. Remove bearing (20) from body (17) .

    Note: For aid at assembly, note the front and rear of idler gear (18) .

  1. Remove driven gear (19) and idler gear (18) from body (17) .
