Battery - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Open door (1) .

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  1. Remove knobs (2) and remove cover (3) .

  1. Remove nuts (4) and bolts (9). Disconnect cables (7) and (8). Remove support (6) and remove batteries (5). The weight of each battery is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Each battery should be lifted by two people.

Cold Weather Battery Package

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  1. Release rubber latches (2) and open lid (3) .

  1. Disconnect cables (7) and (8). Remove bolts (4) and remove support (5). Remove batteries (6). The weight of each battery is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Each battery should be lifted by two people.

  1. Position batteries (5) and position support (6). Install nuts (4) and bolts (9). Connect cables (7) and (8). The weight of each battery is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Each battery should be lifted by two people.

  1. Position cover (3) and install knobs (2) .

  1. Close door (1) .
