Introduction
New, more efficient 130-3067 Air Cleaner Kit is now available for all 3126 Marine Engines. The new air cleaner uses a recirculation system that routes the blowby gases back into the base of the air cleaner. Reusing this gas helps to eliminate the buildup of gases inside the engine room.
Blowby gas also contains very small oil particles. In many cases, this oil could accumulate in the turbocharger and aftercooler eventually causing power loss. It could also run down the side of the engine and into the engine room or bilge area. The new air cleaner separates this oil from the gas and routes the oil back into the oil pan. Depending on the condition of the engine, this can improve oil consumption.
Installing 130-3067 Air Cleaner Kit will result in improved air conditions inside the engine room and eliminate the potential of a messy oil buildup.
Choosing The Correct Air Cleaner Kit Modification
New 130-3067 Air Cleaner Kit is the only one of its type that can be installed on 3126 Marine Engines. This kit contains two different length bolts, depending on the location of the fuel filter. See Illustration 1.
