CID 1681 FMI 05 Lighting Shutdown Timer Relay open circuit
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The ECM detects all of the following conditions:
- The driver output is off.
- An open circuit or a short to + battery condition is detected at the lighting shutdown timer relay output for one second.
- The lighting shutdown timer relay is enabled.
System Response:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code. The diagnostic code may be viewed on a display module or on ET. Lighting shutdown timer relay is disabled.
- Lighting shutdown timer relay is disabled.
Test Step 1. Perform the following test: Lighting Shutdown Timer Relay open circuit
Results:
- OK - Stop.
