Propel Pump (5) "MDC" Neutral adjustment screw (6) Locknut |
- Loosen locknut (6) on the "MDC" neutral adjustment screw (5). Turn "MDC" neutral adjustment screw (5). Look at the pressure gauges. The pressures on the two gauges should be equal.
Note: The pump was removed for photographic purposes.
- Turn the "MDC" neutral adjustment screw (5) clockwise until the other pressure gauge shows an increase in pressure. Mark the position of the screw.
- Turn the "MDC" neutral adjustment screw (5) counterclockwise until the other pressure gauge shows an increase in pressure. Mark the position of the screw. Turn the "MDC" adjustment screw (5) to half the distance of the previous adjustment.
- Hold the "MDC" adjustment screw (5). Tighten locknut (6) to a torque between 14 N·m (10 lb ft) and 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Stop the engine. Remove the pressure gauges from interlock line (3) and (4). Reconnect interlock lines (3) and (4) to the brake interlock valve. Reconnect control linkage (2) to the "MDC" unit. Reconnect the wiring harness for the brake solenoid.
- Remove the blocks from the drums and the tires (if equipped).
