Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the propel pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Drum Propel) - Remove".

1. Remove the two bolts that fasten bracket (1) to adapter plate (2). Move bracket (1) out of the way.

2. Remove the two bolts that fasten bracket (3) to adapter plate (2). Move bracket (3) out of the way.

3. Remove the tie straps that fasten electrical harness (4) to bracket (5) .

4. Remove the two bolts that fasten bracket (5) to adapter plate (2). Move bracket (5) out of the way.

5. Remove six bolts (6) and remove adapter plate (2) from the engine.

6. Remove eight bolts (7) and remove flange (8) from the flywheel.

Installation Procedure

1. Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound on the threads of eight bolts (7) .

2. Position flange (8) on the flywheel and install eight bolts (7). Tighten the eight bolts to a torque of 45 ± 7 N·m (33 ± 5 lb ft).

3. Position adapter plate (2) on the engine and install six bolts (6) .

4. Position bracket (5) on adapter plate (2) and install the two bolts.

5. Install the tie straps that fasten electrical harness (4) to bracket (5) .

6. Position bracket (3) on adapter plate (2) and install the two bolts.

7. Position bracket (1) on adapter plate (2) and install the two bolts.

End By: Install the propel pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Drum Propel) - Install".
