Release Pressure for Parking Brake - Test

- Park the machine on a level surface.
- Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position and move the parking brake control to the ENGAGED position. Shut off the engine.
- Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7347, "Steering Frame Lock".
- Install a 34500 kPa (5000 psi) pressure gauge to the test port on the parking brake control valve in order to check the hydraulic pressure. The parking brake control valve is located inside the right hand side of the rear frame. The parking brake control valve is in front of the center axle.

- Start the engine and operate the engine at low idle for one minute in order to fully charge the brake system.
- Read the pressure gauge. The pressure should be 21030 ± 345 kPa (3050 ± 50 psi).
- If the pressure is insufficient then the parking brake may not fully disengage. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Braking System Troubleshooting".
- Shut off the engine and remove the pressure gauge from the machine.
- Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7347, "Steering Frame Lock".
