The Operation And Maintenance Manual, KEBU7508, "Tilt Hood-Manual Operation" is incorrect.
The information in the Operation And Maintenance Manual tells you that you should use a wrench in order to raise the rear hood panel when electrical power is lost, or if the actuator has a fault. This is incorrect. Use the following procedure:
- Remove the plastic plug from the access hole that is shown in illustration 82. The access hole is located above the right rear fender.
- Insert a screwdriver or a punch in the access hole. Drive out the pin that holds the actuator to the rear frame.
- Manually remove the hood.
