Installation Procedure

1. Position the bottom halves of mounts (125) and sleeves (130) on the frame.

2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the front lifting bracket on the engine and to the lifting bracket on the transmission.

3. Position the engine, the transmission, and the torque converter. The weight of the engine, the transmission, and the torque converter is approximately 2200 kg (4850 lb).

4. Align the holes in front engine support (129) with the holes in support plate (128). Position bracket (127) on support plate (128). Install bolts (126) in order to secure front engine support (129) and bracket (127) to support plate (128) .

5. Align the holes in the transmission mounting brackets with the holes in sleeves (130) and the threaded holes in the frame. Refer to Step 1. Install bolts (122), washers (123), washers (124), and the top halves of mounts (125) .

6. Position oil drain adapter (121) and the gasket. Install bolts (120) .

7. Install elbows (119) into the transmission. Ensure that the elbows face in a downward direction, and toward the rear of the machine.

8. Install stud (118) with the tapered end toward the oil cooler.

9. Install bolts (117) in order to secure the two brackets to the oil cooler.

10. Install block (116) onto the stud in the oil cooler. Refer to Step 8. Install the two halves of tube assembly (115) to the transmission and to the oil cooler. Install bolts (113) .

11. Install bolts (112) in order to secure tube assembly (115) to the transmission. Install clamp (114) in order to assemble the two halves of tube (115) .

12. Install bolt (111) in order to secure the clip to the bracket. Install bolt (110) in order to secure the clip to the bracket. Connect harness assembly (109) .

13. Connect hose (108) and tighten clamp (107) .

14. Connect tube (106). Tighten clamps (104). Install bolt (105) .

15. Install the exhaust pipe into the exhaust tube and tighten bolts (103) to a torque of 82 ± 13 N·m (60 ± 10 lb ft).

16. Connect the exhaust pipe to the turbocharger and install clamp (102). Tighten the clamp to a torque of 11 ± 1 N·m (8 ± 1 lb ft).

17. Connect hose assemblies (101) .

18. Install bolts (100) in order to secure the clip and the turbocharger guard to the machine.

37. Connect the main drive shaft to the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Drive Shaft - Install".

38. Connect harness assembly (52) to the transmission. Install bolt (50) in order to secure clip (51) to the transmission.

39. Install bolt (49) in order to secure bracket (48) to the transmission. Install bolt (46) in order to secure clamp (47) to bracket (48) .

40. Connect tee (45) to piston pump (41). Connect hose assembly (44) .

48. Install the hose of tube (2) onto tube (15) and tighten clamps (14). Install the hose of tube (5) onto tube (13) and tighten clamps (12) .

49. Install bolt (10) in order to secure clamp (11) to tube (5). Install bolt (8) in order to secure clamp (9) to tube (2) .

50. Secure clamp (7) to tube (2). Install tube (5) into hose (6) and tighten clamps (4). Install tube (2) into hose (3) and tighten clamps (1) .

51. Refill the engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".

52. Refill the torque converter and transmission oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Torque Converter and Transmission Oil - Change".

53. Refill the engine coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

End By:

1. Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".
2. Install the crankcase guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard - Remove and Install".
3. Install the bumper. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Install".
