Table 1
Transmission Pressures
Item     Pressure Tap     Pressure at Low Idle     Pressure at High Idle     Adjustment
A     Pressure tap for pump (priority valve)
2900 ± 140 kPa (420 ± 20 psi)
Add or remove spacers (25) in priority valve (1). See Table 3.
B     Pressure tap for converter inlet (P3)
1000 kPa (145 psi) maximum pressure with cold oil
None
C     Pressure tap for converter outlet
400 kPa (58 psi) (minimum pressure)
Engaged brakes
Selector lever in the THIRD SPEED FORWARD position
Converter in a stall condition
Add or remove spacers (24) in converter outlet relief valve (14). See Table 3.
D     Pressure tap for speed clutch (P1)     Maximum of
345 kPa (50 psi) below the pressure at maximum RPM
The selection lever is in any FORWARD or REVERSE speed. Load piston plug (N) is installed.

2550 ± 105 kPa (370 ± 15 psi) pressure with the selector lever in any FORWARD or REVERSE speed. Load piston plug (N) is installed.
There is no adjustment. The final pressure is controlled by the initial pressure setting.
E     Pressure tap for direction clutch (P2)
380 ± 55 kPa (55 ± 8 psi) below the speed clutch pressure at pressure tap (B)
The selector lever is in any FORWARD or REVERSE speed. Load piston plug (N) is installed.

380 ± 55 kPa (55 ± 8 psi) below the speed clutch pressure at pressure tap (B)
The selector lever is in any FORWARD or REVERSE speed. Load piston plug (N) is installed.
There is no adjustment. the direction clutch pressure is controlled by the spring rate for the pressure differential valve spring.
F     Pressure tap for transmission lubrication oil
12 kPa (1.5 psi) minimum

130 ± 30 kPa (19 ± 4.5 psi)
There is no adjustment.
G     Pressure tap for steering and brake lubrication
115 kPa (17 psi)
There is no adjustment.

Table 2
Pressure Differential Valve Test
Pressure Differential Valve Operation     While the engine is not running, move the direction selection lever to any position except the NEUTRAL position. Start the engine and run the engine at HIGH IDLE. The direction clutch pressure (P2) must be
0 kPa (0 psi). The speed clutch pressure (P1) must be
2550 ± 105 kPa (370 ± 15 psi). Move the direction selection lever to the NEUTRAL position. Then move the lever to the THIRD SPEED FORWARD or REVERSE positions. The direction clutch pressure (P2) must be
380 ± 55 kPa (55 ± 8 psi) below the pressure off the speed clutch.

Note: If the machine is equipped with a neutral start switch, the transmission control lever must be in the NEUTRAL position before the starter can be engaged in order to start the engine.

Bench Test Specifications for the Transmission and Oil Pump

Type ... Gear

Number of sections ... Three

Rotation of pump (drive end) ... Counterclockwise

Note: The following values are with SAE 10W oil at 49 °C (120 °F).

Output of the transmission and the torque converter section

Minimum output ... 57 L/min (15 US gpm)
Pump speed ... 1800 RPM
Pressure ... 3100 kPa (450 psi)

Output of steering clutch and brake lubrication section

Minimum output ... 152 L/min (40 US gpm)
Pump speed ... 1800 RPM
Pressure ... 345 kPa (50 psi)

Output of torque converter scavenge section

Minimum output ... 53 L/min (14 US gpm)
Pump speed ... 1800 RPM
Pressure ... 70 kPa (10 psi)

The following table provides the information that is needed to change the pressure in the transmission oil pump. Use the appropriate spacer to change the pressure to the value that is required.
