Fuel System Water Separator Element - Replace - Fuel System Primary Filter Element

- Turn the valve (1) in a counterclockwise direction. Drain the fuel into a suitable container.
Note: Dispose of the waste in a proper manner.

- Close the valve (1) .
- Hold the bowl (5) while you loosen the collar (4). Remove the bowl (5) and the collar (5) .
- Loosen the collar (2). Remove the element (3). Discard the element in a proper manner.

- Clean the parts. Inspect the parts for damage. Replace the damaged parts or replace the worn parts.
- Install a new element. Tighten the collar (2) .
- Install the bowl (5) and tighten the collar (4) .
- Start the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.
- Close the door to the engine compartment.
