- Harvester Heads:
- HH75 (PIN: 5WZ1-UP)
Description of Change: New protective plates have been added to the HH75 Harvester Head. The plates protect the hoses to the delimbing knife cylinders during the delimbing process.
Adaptable To: The protective plates are effective with HH75 (PIN: 5WZ237 and 239-UP) Harvester Heads. The plates are adaptable to first production of the listed harvester heads.

- Two plates will need to be manufactured. The plate dimensions are shown in illustration 1. Manufacture the plate from low carbon steel.
- Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep other personnel away from the machine and the harvester head.
- Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Move away from other operating machines and away from personnel. Tilt the harvester head into the HORIZONTAL position. Lower the head to the ground.
- Install the steering frame lock so that the machine cannot articulate.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Stop the engine and turn the battery disconnect switches to the OFF position.
- Prior to welding, disconnect the "DASA" harness plug. Ground the welder close to the deflector plates.
- Weld manufactured plates (1) to stationary delimbing knife (2). Weld along all mating surfaces. The welds need a penetration of at least 6 mm (0.24 inch). Weld on both sides of the plates.
Personal injury or death can result from fumes, gases and ultraviolet rays from the weld arc. Welding can cause fumes, burn skin and produce ultraviolet rays. Keep your head out of the fumes. Use ventilation, exhaust at the arc, or both, to keep fumes and gases from your breathing area. Wear eye, ear and body protection before working. Protect yourself and others; read and understand this warning. Fumes and gases can be dangerous to your health. Ultraviolet rays from the weld arc can injure eyes and burn skin. Electric shock can cause death. Read and understand the manufacturer's instructions and your employer's safety practices. Do not touch live electrical parts.
