AP-1055B and BG-2455C Asphalt Pavers Caterpillar


Hydraulic System Oil Sample - Obtain

Usage:

BG-2455C 6TN

  • Start the engine. Allow the engine to warm-up for at least ten minutes.

    1. Stop the engine.

    1. Open the compartment access doors to the hydraulic tank.

    1. Clean the top of the hydraulic tank. Clean the filler cap.

    1. Remove filler cap breather (1). Remove the strainer that is located under filler cap breather (1) .

    1. Use 1U-7683 Suction Gun to remove a sample of the hydraulic oil. Place the sample in a suitable container. Send the sample to your dealer for analysis.

      Note: The sampling gun must be free of contamination. The container must be free of contamination.

    1. Inspect the filler cap. Inspect the strainer and clean the strainer. Replace the strainer if the strainer is damaged. Replace the filler cap if the filler cap is damaged. Install the strainer. Install the filler cap.

    1. Close the access covers and secure the access covers.
