The heating controls and the air conditioning controls are located on the left side of the dash panel. The heating controls and the air conditioning controls consist of the following items:

  • Temperature Control (knob) (1)

  • Heating and Air Conditioning Switch (2)

  • Fan Speed Switch (3)

Temperature Control

Temperature Control (1) - The temperature control (knob) will adjust the temperature in the cab. To produce the most heat, turn the knob all the way to the right. To produce cool air, turn the knob all the way to the left. Turning the knob all the way to the left will produce the greatest cooling effect when the air conditioning is functioning. Position the knob for your comfort.

Heating and Air Conditioning Switch

Heating and Air Conditioning ON/OFF Switch (2) - This switch is a three-position switch. The center position of the switch is the OFF position.

Air Conditioning (2) - Press the top of the switch in order to activate the air conditioner.

Heating (2) - Press the bottom of the switch in order to activate the heater.

Fan Speed Switch

Fan Speed (3) - A three-position switch controls the speed of the fan. The TOP position of the switch will activate the fan at HIGH SPEED. The CENTER position of the switch will activate the fan at MEDIUM SPEED. The BOTTOM position of the switch will activate the fan at LOW SPEED.

Use the fan speed switch in order to vary the amount of cool air in the cab when you are using the air conditioning. Use the fan speed switch in order to vary the amount of warm air in the cab when you are using the heater.

Heating and Air Conditioning System Operation

The heating and air conditioning system can perform four functions:

Heating - Activate the heating system. Select your desired fan speed. Adjust the temperature variable control for the desired temperature.

Air Conditioning - Activate the air conditioning system. Select your desired fan speed. Adjust the temperature variable control for the desired temperature.

Pressurizing - When heating or cooling is not desired, pressurize the cab in order to prevent dust from entering. Turn the temperature variable control all the way to the left for the most cooling. Select a fan speed. Activate the heater control. The cab will be pressurized without being heated. The cab airflow will be filtered.

Defogging - Activate the air conditioning system. Select a fan speed. Use the fan speed that is needed to remove moisture from the air in the cab. This will prevent moisture from forming on the windshield and the windows. To maintain a comfortable temperature, adjust the air conditioning control.

Air Vents

In order to adjust the airflow, there are seven air vents. Four vents are located in the dash panel. Three vents are located in the shelf. Adjust the amount of air and the direction of air from each vent in order to satisfy operational needs.
