Ground Speed Signal Connector

Usage:

65E 6GS
Some implement electronic controls use the signal from the ground speed sensor. Implements that require the signal can use the four-pin connector. The connector is located below the service brake pedal behind the floormat. This connection functions only if the ground speed sensor is installed.

Pins for the Ground Speed Sensor
Pin     Wire     Color     Circuit
1     201     Red     Ground
2     457     Black     Ground speed signal
3     141     Pink     + Battery
4     141     Pink     Enable signal

Some monitors from a OEM manufacturer only require the connection of pin 1 and of pin 2. You may need to disconnect pin 3 and pin 4 in order for these monitors to function properly. The machine's ground speed sensor is powered. Therefore, pin 3 is connected to pin 4 so that the ground speed sensor appears to be functioning to the monitor from the OEM manufacturer.

Note: An extension harness is available. Consult any Caterpillar dealer.
