Check the steering system hydraulic oil level. Stop the machine and stop the engine. Maintain the oil level to the FULL mark in the upper sight gauge (1) .
After engine start-up, check the oil level. If the oil level is in the operating range in lower gauge (2) , then the accumulators are properly charged.
If the oil is below the operating range mark in lower sight gauge (2) , the accumulators may need attention. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Accumulator - Check" for additional information.
Use the reading from upper sight gauge (1) to maintain the oil level. Stop the engine and allow the accumulators to completely discharge before you add oil.
Note: When the engine is operating, do not fill the steering tank. The tank could be too full when the engine is off.
