The hydraulic tank is located on the outside of the right side of the frame. The hydraulic tank supplies oil to the brakes, to the brake cooling system and to the hoist hydraulics. Rear brake oil cooler relief valves (1) are located in the hydraulic tank. An air breather for the hydraulic tank is located on the vertical frame member on the right side of the truck.
The hydraulic tank has two sight gauges. The top sight gauge is generally used for checking the oil level. The bottom sight gauge can be used when the hoist cylinders are in the raised position. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the hydraulic tank capacity and for the correct oil for the hydraulic tank.
