BG-225C (5GN00454-Up),
AP-1000B (7HN00177-Up),
BG-260C (8GN00523-Up). AP-1050B (6ZN00190-Up),
BG-245C (4XN00117-Up),
AP-1055B (8BM00288-Up),
BG-2455C (6TN00137-Up) Asphalt Pavers

Description of Change: Effective with machine serial numbers 9DN00306, 5GN00454, 7HN00177, 8GN00523, 6ZN00190, 4XN00117, 8BM00288 and 6TN00137, the conveyor pumps on all X-Series Asphalt Pavers have been changed in order to increase the system pressure from 3650 psi to 4000 psi. This change was made to increase the amount of torque to the conveyors. To implement this change, on machines after the effective serial numbers above, the 8I-0961 Pump was canceled and replaced by the 154-6612 pump. The 8I-0962 Pump was canceled and replaced by the 154-6613 Pump. Because of this pressure increase, the bypass solenoid valve and coil on each of the 115-0060 Feeder Manifolds were changed to stay consistent with the system pressure. The new 154-1422 Solenoid Valve and the new 154-1421 Coil are for use with the 4000 psi pumps. These parts replace the 135-2510 Solenoid Valve and the 107-0818 Coil that are used on machines with 3650 psi conveyor system pressure.

When servicing a failed conveyor pump on machines prior to the serial numbers listed above, the following options are available:

1. The pressure on the existing pump must be turned up to 4000 psi to match the pressure of the replacement pump. This also requires that the bypass solenoid valve and coil on each of the 115-0060 Feeder Manifolds be updated with part numbers 154-1422 and 154-1421 to correspond with the updated system pressure.

2. The pressure on the new pump must be turned down to 3650 psi in order to keep the system pressure consistent between both pumps. Since the system pressure is not increased using this procedure, the bypass valves do not have to be changed.

For machines built after the serial numbers above, normal service procedures can be performed with no additional complications.
