New Customer VIMS-PC Orders
As in the past all new customer VIMS-PC orders can be placed by ordering JERD2092 and providing the literature analyst with the qualifying MSO (Miscellaneous Shipping Order) number. Since VIMS-PC is included with the price of a machine, JERD2092 is a no-charge software package for dealers and customers should NOT be charged separately for the software.
Customer Site License Annual Subscription
In addition to the original license, a new customer site-licensed annual subscription is available to provide direct upgrades to customers, eliminating the need for dealers to manually upgrade their customer's programs. Two upgrade options are available:

- 1. Dealers can continue to manually update customers with VIMS-PC updates as they are released through the VOB (Vehicular Offboard Bundle). Presently, this is the only way available.
- 2. A new optional Customer Site License Annual Subscription to VIMS-PC is available. This allows the customer to use one copy of VIMS-PC on all equipment located at one physical site. This new subscription can be ordered through normal Literature Distribution channels via media number JERD2175. As with all customer PC software orders, dealers will be billed by Caterpillar and will direct bill their customers.

The literature order requires a valid customer "Mail to" street address (no P.O. Boxes) to be automatically added to a mail list for VIMS-PC upgrades as they are released.
NOTE: VIMS-PC (JERD2175) is a customer site license subscription only. This media number alter the need for dealers to order the Vehicular Offboard Bundle (VOB) (JERD2137) or Dealer Site License (JERD2138) subscription.
