New Turbocharger Guard Assembly Resists Vibration Better{1073}

D25C, D30C, D35C, D350C Trucks

Description of Change: A new turbocharger guard assembly that resists vibration better is being used. The new guard is manufactured from a phenolic resin material. This material is more resistant to fatigue cracking due to vibration than the former material (sheet steel). The new guard will provide increased service life.

Adaptable To: The new 7U5674 Turbocharger Guard Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 6U3515 Turbocharger Shield Assembly. The former shield assembly is canceled. The lockwashers, used to fasten the 6U3515 Clamp to the former shield, must be replaced with 5M2879 Washers when the new guard is installed. The new 7U5674 Turbocharger Guard Assembly is in effect as follows.
